Kate MacGown
Music Art Therapist
LP-CAT, MT-BC
I am a neurodivergent-affirming and culturally sensitive therapist who believes therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating challenges with self-esteem, relationships, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Together, we can build healthy coping tools, strengthen self-advocacy, and create meaningful steps toward greater confidence and overall well-being.
While I am a music and creative arts therapist, I'm happy to follow your lead on whether you prefer to incorporate music or art as part of our work together or simply just talk about what's going on for you. I draw from CBT, DBT, and other approaches to create a supportive, collaborative space.
We can explore emotions creatively through music, art, or conversation. Whatever feels most natural to you as you are in the driver's seat! My goal is to tailor our work to who you are, support what you need, and help you feel safe, understood, and comfortable in the therapy space.
